Translation laboratory consists of 21 networked PC computers with Internet access. It hosts most classes for students of Translation Studies. Basic software includes Windows XP, Office 2007, CAT Tools: Wordfast, Deja Vu (next year also SDL Trados).
The lab opens up many technological opportunities in translation training:
- using the university online platform during classes
- conducting multimedia presentations
- downloading and uploading materials with the university online platform
- utilising Internet resources, glossaries and dictionaries
- teaching CAT Tools, translation memory and electronic glossaries usage
- teaching subtitling software
- translating a variety of document formats
